Fresh Graduate dan Sarjana Dihimbau untuk tidak terlalu berharap Menjadi CPNS : Wakil Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Bidang Pendidikan Musliar Kasim mengimbau agar lulusan perguruan tinggi tidak diam dan menunggu terbukanya lowongan menjadi Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS).

Imbauan itu disampaikannya mengingat saat ini pemerintah masih melakukan moratorium atau pembatasan penerimaan menjadi aparatur negara. Moratorium penerimaan calon PNS di kementerian, lembaga, atau pemerintah daerah itu berlaku mulai tahun ini hingga beberapa tahun mendatang.

Ia mengatakan, kalaupun masih ada kesempatan menjadi CPNS di bidang tenaga pendidik atau kesehatan, kuota penerimaannya akan sangat terbatas. “Jangan menunggu lamaran menjadi PNS tapi carilah bidang pekerjaan lain,” kata Musliar, Minggu (18/12/2011) di Jakarta.

Mantan rektor Universitas Andalas Padang ini mengatakan, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan memiliki program untuk mengarahkan para lulusan menjadi wirausaha muda mandiri. Profesi wirausahawan ini penting karena mampu membuka lapangan pekerjaan baru bagi masyarakat. Profesi ini juga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian sebagai solusi menekan pengangguran.

Melalui Dirjen Pendidikan Tinggi (Dikti), kata Musliar, Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) telah dirintis di beberapa perguruan tinggi negeri. PKM yang selaras dengan Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) memfasilitasi mahasiswa yang mempunyai minat dan bakat kewirausahaan untuk memulai berwirausaha dengan basis ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan seni.

Fasilitas yang diberikan meliputi pendidikan dan pelatihan kewirausahaan magang, penyusunan rencana bisnis, dukungan permodalan, dan pendampingan usaha. Selain itu juga ada modal kerja untuk pendirian usaha maksimal Rp 8 juta per mahasiswa.

“Nanti setelah terjun di dunia kerja, aplikasikan pengetahuan yang berkarakter. Harumkan nama almamater karena mereka berjasa akan kesuksesan,” ujarnya. Ref:kompas
